I like how having the students write the test questions started them thinking about the test. They still are not as prepared at this point but I trust they will be by Thursday's class. There was some confusion about the structure of the test. It took some explaining to see how the choices were different from last time. I hope that this does not create any more problems such as someone showing up expecting one thing and getting another.
I also like how the first amendment presentation went. It certainly is an engaging topic and I learned from the students some nuances. It seems especially key how we define "freedom." That seems to be an ongoing and almost irresolvable problem. Freedom does not mean absence of consequence, only that certain actions are protected by law. There still may be a consequence.
