Reading the CRIP papers made my day, my week, my semester (to this point). I am humbled by the student's honesty, thoughtfulness and insights. It reminds me why I am a teacher. This learning, these connections came across so powerfully. I need to tell them.

I was really happy about how the new conflict styles survey went. And I am reminded how energizing it is for me when a class goes well. It makes such a difference. I get almost desperate when things seem shaky. It doesn't take much for me to see things in this light either. So much is riding, for me, on how well my classes go.
One thing I like about this conflict styles activity is how it spawned all these side conversations about the issues. Students talking and learning from each other. That's the best!
Well, more on to power and then prep for the test.

Return from vacation. Less than half the papers in. Hopefully this will be changed by tomorrow.
Today we looked at fairness and how that factored into conflicts. It went reasonably well and took a little longer than I planned for. But that's okay, I would rather have things be well covered with some depth than just dipped into.
